Laid off: the first four days in your state — the benefit floor and ceiling, where to file, and the two 60-day windows
Search results for “just got laid off, what now” and “unemployment calculator” are lead-generation pages. The record is public: the U.S. Department of Labor publishes every state’s weekly benefit floor and ceiling and benefit weeks in one table (effective January 2026, read 2026-09-02), HealthCare.gov and the Department of Labor publish the two 60-day health-coverage windows, the WARN regulation is in the eCFR, and every state has a filing page and a WARN list. These pages print that record, one page per state, with the date each item was read — and link the office that decides. No benefit is computed; nothing is promised. Pages generated 2026-09-05.

Each tile shows the weekly benefit amount minimum–maximum and benefit weeks payable exactly as the Department of Labor’s table prints them; two figures in one cell are shown as the table prints them, in its order.

The four days, dated for your last day, as one file — $5
“Laid off in [your state]: the first four days” is the state page built at order time and dated that day: Day 0 the unemployment claim (the state’s own filing page when verified, the floor and ceiling from the Department of Labor’s table), Day 1 the American Job Center appointment with the federal rule quoted, Day 2 the two 60-day health-coverage windows quoted from HealthCare.gov and the Department of Labor, Day 3 the WARN list with the regulation quoted — plus a figure ledger, a source appendix and a “what this cannot know” box. It is Section 0 of the $19 Directions plan sold on its own, generated by the same software from the same cached, tagged data. One HTML file, opens in any browser, prints to PDF; emailed to your checkout address, usually within minutes. At checkout: your state. Nothing else is collected.

Where the figures come from
Benefit floor, ceiling and weeks: U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, Office of Unemployment Insurance — Significant Provisions of State Unemployment Insurance Laws, Effective January 2026 (PDF) — fetched 2026-09-02, server Last-Modified Fri, 28 Aug 2026 12:34:47 GMT, SHA-256 6e78c921551ab04398f82908d0fd0a238125269a6887f730d63ed2a454b438ec, parsed by software with the figures kept verbatim and footnote marks stripped.
