Customer Service Representatives — the next 90 days in Illinois
Not a report about your options — a dated sequence: which route, which office, which date, which document, in which order, and what it costs on the institution’s own page. Every figure carries a source marker, its fetch date and a verification tag; every gap is printed as a gap.
Read first — what this plan is built on, and what it cannot know
This plan was assembled on 2 Sep 2026 for one occupation (Customer Service Representatives) and one state (Illinois). Its routes come from RetrainMap’s priced registry (each program price verified on the institution’s page on the date shown) and the institutions’ own pages fetched for this build — Lincoln Land Community College (Springfield, IL) — plus the federal WIOA rules in the Code of Federal Regulations, the state’s eligible-training-provider list, and Bureau of Labor Statistics figures republished by O*NET OnLine. All 3 routes below are located in Illinois.
It cannot know whether a seat exists on the day you call, whether your local American Job Center will find you eligible for WIOA money (that decision is made there, in person), or whether a price or a deadline will change before you act. Deadlines here are the published ones and are printed with the page they came from. Where a date is computed from a published rule (“first Monday in November”), the arithmetic is ours and says so.
1Where you are
Interact with customers to provide basic or scripted information in response to routine inquiries about products and services. May handle and resolve general complaints. Excludes individuals whose duties are primarily installation, sales, repair, and technical support.

Wages are national medians; state medians differ. The two public AI-exposure readings for this occupation, with their authors’ caveats, are in the $29 report and on the free audit pages — this plan does not repeat them, because a plan should be about doors, not weather.
2The routes this plan prices for Illinois
Ordered by published all-in price, lowest first, among routes with a priced program located in Illinois; other-state rows fill the list only when Illinois has fewer than three and are labelled. This ordering is a rule, not a recommendation — the decision points in Section 7 are where you weigh them.
1.CDL-A Truck Driverin IL
BLS 2024–34: Average · median $58,640 (national)
The fastest and cheapest full exit on this menu, and the lowest measured AI exposure. The trade-offs are physical: time away, schedule, body wear. The report prices it; only you can weigh it.
Lincoln Land Community College (Springfield, IL) — Truck Driver Training — CDL Basic, Certificate of Completion
Certificate of Completion + 7 college credits; prepares for the Class A CDL exam
$4,500 program cost (college's published figure; plus DOT physical/drug screen $134, motor-vehicle record $12, permit fees)[S18] · 4 weeks days (20 days) or 6 weeks nights (32 nights) · 4–6 weeksFETCHED THIS BUILD
Re-checked 2026-09-02: Program cost: $4,500 — 'Payments for the program must be received up front in full.' Same figure on the college's tuition page. Unchanged from the 2026-08-15 registry check.[S25]FETCHED THIS BUILD
Format, as published: 4-week (20 days) day training, Monday–Friday 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; or 6-week (32 nights) night training, Monday–Friday 5:30–10:30 p.m.[S26]
Actual earnings record: completers of this institution’s Ground Transportation programs (same credential level) earned a median of $41,937[S17] two years after finishing (141 recent completions counted)[S17].
The college's overview page carries its own placement and starting-salary claims. This plan does not repeat them: they are the seller's claims, not a public record.
Who to call: 217-786-2565 — Truck Driver Training program office (the number the college's page gives for class openings) (the number the institution’s page publishes).
2.Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)in IL
BLS 2024–34: Average · median $64,400 (national)
Service temperament under pressure transfers; everything clinical is new and taught. One year, licensed, hands-on — the classic zone-jump out of the office neighborhood.
Lincoln Land Community College (Springfield, IL) — Practical Nurse — Certificate of Achievement
Certificate of Achievement; sits the NCLEX-PN for state licensure (exam $200, listed by the college)
≈$8,899 total tuition, variable tuition and standard fees, in-district (college's own 2025-26 estimate; $287/credit-hour 2025-26, rising to $293 in 2026-27). Itemized extras published: textbooks $500, uniforms $150, NCLEX exam $200, IL license application $107, plus small fees[S18] · 1 year · 52 weeksFETCHED THIS BUILD
Re-checked 2026-09-02: For the 2026–2027 academic year the LPN tuition rate is $293 per credit hour for in-district residents (page fetched 2026-09-02). The ≈$8,899 total in the registry is the college's 2025–26 estimate at $287/credit; the college's page does not publish a 2026–27 total, so expect a few percent more than the registry figure — our inference from the rate change, not a published total.[S19]OUR INFERENCE — NOT A PUBLISHED FIGURE
Format, as published: Time to completion: 1 year (college's statement). Offered in Springfield and at the Jacksonville and Hillsboro Outreach Centers.[S19]
Actual earnings record: completers of this institution’s Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants programs (same credential level) earned a median of $19,358[S17] two years after finishing (272 recent completions counted)[S17]. Scorecard's median for this certificate's completers two years out is far below the BLS occupation median. Read it with care: the cohort counts only federally-aided completers, and many LPN-certificate completers continue straight into RN programs or work part-time while doing so — depressed early-cohort earnings are a known artifact of laddered nursing credentials, not proof the certificate fails. Both numbers are shown; neither is hidden.
College-published 'LPN student achievement outcome data': 2024 first-time NCLEX-PN pass rate 94% (LLCC) vs 88% national and 91% state; 100% completion rate 63%; the page also states a six-month post-graduation employment rate of 92% — that last figure is the college's own self-report, not a federal record, and is not a promise about you.[S19]COLLEGE'S OWN FIGURE — NOT A FEDERAL RECORD
Who to call: 217-786-2224 — health professions student success advisor (per the selective-admissions page) (the number the institution’s page publishes).
3.Registered Nurse (RN, via associate degree)in IL
BLS 2024–34: Faster than average · median $97,550 (national)
The longest and most expensive route on this menu, and the one with the strongest wage and outlook record. Service backbone transfers; two years of clinical education is the price of entry.
Lincoln Land Community College (Springfield, IL) — Associate Degree Nursing (ADN, RN) — AAS
AAS degree; sits the NCLEX-RN for state licensure
≈$15,342 total tuition, variable tuition and standard fees, in-district (college's own 2025-26 estimate; $287/credit-hour 2025-26, rising to $293 in 2026-27)[S18] · 2 years · 104 weeksFETCHED THIS BUILD
Re-checked 2026-09-02: For the 2026–2027 academic year the ADN tuition rate is $293 per credit hour for in-district residents; 'Books sold separately' (page fetched 2026-09-02). The ≈$15,342 registry total is the college's 2025–26 estimate at $287/credit; no 2026–27 total is published — expect a few percent more, our inference.[S21]OUR INFERENCE — NOT A PUBLISHED FIGURE
Format, as published: Time to completion: 2 years after prerequisites are met (college's statement).[S21]
Actual earnings record: completers of this institution’s Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research and Clinical Nursing programs (same credential level) earned a median of $52,107[S17] two years after finishing (110 recent completions counted)[S17].
College-published 'ADN student achievement outcome data': 2024 first-time NCLEX-RN pass rate 92% (LLCC) vs 91% national and 87% state; 100% completion rate 56%; the page also states a six-month post-graduation employment rate of 96% — the college's own self-report, not a federal record, and not a promise about you.[S21]COLLEGE'S OWN FIGURE — NOT A FEDERAL RECORD

Routes on the menu without a priced program row — where to price them
Route
Why it is not sequenced above
Where to price it in Illinois
Electrician (registered apprenticeship) No tuition-first model: registered apprentices are employees from day one, paid on a published local scale that steps up toward journey-level wage. Entry is competitive and physical.
Registered apprenticeships (the IBEW/NECA joint programs are the largest network) combine paid on-the-job training with classroom hours over roughly 4-5 years. Apprentice pay is set by each local training committee as a rising percentage of the local journey-level wage — every local publishes its own scale. No specific local's wage scale was verifiable at build time, so this report quotes none. Check the scale published by the local you would actually join — the finder below lists registered sponsors by ZIP code.
If you stay, staying should be a decision with a price tag too. The honest version: vendor AI certificates are cheap and fast, and no published evidence yet ties any of them to job retention. Both facts belong in the same sentence.
The free credential registry at retrainmap.com/certs/ carries the vendor prices and dates; two rungs are priced in the $29 report.
Medical Assistant Brookdale Community College (Lincroft, NJ), $8,999 all-in (includes NHA certification exam fee)

Day 1 (Section 8): three actions, about 30 minutes.
Call Truck Driver Training at LLCC at 217-786-2565: (1) the next available start date, (2) whether $4,500 program cost is still the price and what is due up front, (3) which documents they want to see. Write the answers on this plan.
Book your Illinois appointment: American Job Center finder — Illinois[S4]. Say you want to be assessed for WIOA adult or dislocated-worker eligibility and ask whether Truck Driver Training at LLCC is on the state list.
Start the FAFSA at studentaid.gov[S7] — the college lists it as an enrollment step for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN, via associate degree).
Note for route 1: the college states “The Truck Driver Training Center does not qualify for any Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) grants.” — FAFSA is not a funding path for it.

Gather the documents in Section 6 for route 1 and for the selective routes.
Check route 1 on the state list: IL ETPL[S13] — search the program name and write down whether it appears.
Route 2 (Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)): apply to the college itself at www.llcc.edu/apply — the college states that college admission is a separate step from selective program admission.

5Money: the funding steps, in the order they pay
WIOA — the public training money, as the regulation states it
Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I funds pay for approved training for eligible adults and dislocated workers. Two facts matter: (1) the money flows only to programs on your state's Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL); (2) eligibility is determined in person at your local American Job Center, not by any website.
Who: “To be eligible to receive career services as an adult in the adult and dislocated worker programs, an individual must be 18 years of age or older.”[S8]Dislocated workers (laid off, or with a notice of layoff or plant closing, among other definitions in WIOA sec. 3(15)) qualify under a separate track; the regulation lets each state and local board set the procedures for deciding who fits it[S9].
How it pays: “Training services for eligible individuals are typically provided by training providers who receive payment for their services through an ITA. The ITA is a payment agreement established on behalf of a participant with a training provider. WIOA title I adult and dislocated workers purchase training services from State eligible training providers they select in consultation with the career planner, which includes discussion of program quality and performance information on the available eligible training providers..”[S10] In plain terms: the money is an Individual Training Account (ITA) that pays a provider on the state list. A program not on the list cannot be paid this way.
The list: “The State list of eligible training providers and programs is made publicly available online through Web sites and searchable databases [...]. The list must be accompanied by relevant performance and cost information and must be presented in a way that is easily understood.”[S11]
Book an appointment. Eligibility is determined there, in person. Ask two questions: am I eligible as an adult or as a dislocated worker, and is Truck Driver Training — CDL Basic, Certificate of Completion on the Illinois eligible-training-provider list?
Search each route’s program name and write down whether it appears. If it does not, WIOA money cannot flow to it (20 CFR 680.300) — that is a fact about the funding path, not about the program’s quality.
CDL-A Truck Driver: does not apply — the college states “The Truck Driver Training Center does not qualify for any Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) grants.”[S28] Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): applies — 'Complete the FAFSA' is step 3 of the college's own enrollment steps for this program.[S19] Registered Nurse (RN, via associate degree): applies — 'Complete the FAFSA' is step 3 of the college's own enrollment steps for this program.[S21]

At least 18 years of age[S27]
Certified copy of birth certificate, or U.S.-issued unexpired passport[S27]

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) — Lincoln Land Community College (Springfield, IL)
Apply to LLCC first (general admission), then complete selective admission — 'Admission to Lincoln Land Community College does not guarantee acceptance into a selective health program'[S20]
The college's enrollment steps for this program: 1 Apply to LLCC · 2 Activate your LLCC account · 3 Complete the FAFSA · 4 Complete selective admission[S20]
Meet with a health professions student success advisor (217-786-2224), who 'will provide a detailed review of the admission requirements' and prompts the application by the program deadline[S20]
Gap, printed: The LPN-specific minimum criteria sit behind a 'View LPN Selective Admission Requirements' link that renders in the browser; the ADN criteria on the same page (transcripts or GED, ATI TEAS at proficient or higher, an information session) are printed under the ADN route and are NOT assumed to be identical — confirm with the advisor.
Registered Nurse (RN, via associate degree) — Lincoln Land Community College (Springfield, IL)
Apply to LLCC first, then complete selective admission; admission to the college does not guarantee acceptance into the program[S22]
Minimum criteria to enter the applicant pool (college's list): view an information session (on-demand version available); submit high-school transcripts with proof of graduation or a GED certificate to LLCC Records; ATI TEAS score of 'proficient' or higher (scores valid five years); meet with a health professions student success advisor (217-786-2224)[S22]
After acceptance: health assessment, documentation of required immunizations, criminal background check and drug screening, AHA-BLS (CPR) certification for health-care providers, functional-abilities documentation[S22]
For the American Job Center appointment: what to bring is set by your local center (identity, work history and, for the dislocated-worker track, layoff paperwork are the usual categories). This plan does not print a list it has not seen — ask when you book, and write the answer here.
7Decision points
D1 · week 3 — the funding path
WIOA money, if your job center finds you eligible and the program is on the state list; FAFSA, where the college says it applies; self-pay ($4,646 for route 1 as published plus unstated fees); or the other sources the college itself lists. Decide on the written answer from the job center, not on a website’s promise — including this one.
D2 · week 4 — commit or wait
Route 1 starts when a seat opens; the college publishes no calendar and says to call. Waiting for the funding answer costs weeks; paying before it costs money you may have had covered. Both are real costs. Choose one deliberately.
D3 · week 9 — the mid-plan review
If route 1 has not started by now, the reason is the information you need for plan #2: no seat (ask the job center for other listed providers of the same credential), no funding (the selective routes carry FAFSA where the college says so), or a change of mind (Section 2’s reference rows show what the same credential costs elsewhere).
D4 · week 12 — what plan #2 is for
The selective routes’ next application windows are dated in Section 3; the credential ladder is priced in the $29 report; the apprenticeship finder is in Section 5. Pick one lane for the next 90 days; write it down; date it.
Kill line
Do not pay any school until you have seen, with your own eyes, (a) the price on its own page, (b) its listing on the state list if you are counting on WIOA money, and (c) its written refund policy. The list is the check, not the brochure.
8Day 1 — 2 Sep 2026
Three actions, today
Call 217-786-2565 — Truck Driver Training at LLCC — and ask the three week-1 questions (≈10 min). Write the answers on this plan.
Open the IL ETPL[S13] and search “Truck Driver Training”. Write down whether it appears (≈10 min).

Whether a seat exists on the day. Selective programs rank applicants; first-come classes fill. The institution’s office, not this plan, knows today’s answer.
Whether you are eligible for WIOA money. That determination is made at your American Job Center, in person, under federal and state rules — not by this plan and not by any website.
Whether you will pass, be hired, or what you will earn. Where a federal earnings record exists for a program it is printed; where it does not, nothing is invented. A college’s own placement figures are labelled as the college’s.
Whether a price or a deadline will change. Each carries the date we looked. Re-check the linked page before paying anyone.
Census PSEO (the second federal earnings series) requires a Census API key this build does not hold, so no PSEO figures appear in this report. College Scorecard is the only federal earnings series consulted; where it has no record, no earnings figure is shown at all.
You: your finances, schedule, health, family, driving record, and aptitude for clinical, trade, or licensed work. This plan sequences doors; walking through one is yours.
